DS102

Hi there.

It's time for a new Deconstructed Sketch, and I have tried a couple of new things this week.

The first is, I think my card fits into the category of CAS, which is a rarity for me, and secondly, I have been watching some fabulous you tube tutorials from the most amazing copic artist I have ever seen. Her name is Alyce and her blog is KIT AND CLOWDER  You really must check out her work. Stunning does not even do justice to her coloring and cards.

My card for this week, featuring a new Tiddly Inks Digi stamp......

So, can you tell that my coloring has changed a little?

I still have a long way to go, but am really happy with how it's looking so far.

Here's Jen's awesome sketch....

And all the DT links for some inspiration....

We would love you to join in, and don't forget to check out Alyce's blog too.

I'm off to a scrapbooking retreat this weekend. I am so excited. Three days of bliss.

Thanks for stopping by.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Last weekend we celebrated Mothers Day here in Australia. I was thoroughly spoilt by my 4 gorgeous girlies, my hubby, and precious grandson.

We all enjoyed High Tea with my Mum and hubby's Mum, and I used this week's Deconstructed Sketch to make their cards. Yes, two cards.

The first one was for my Mum, and the second for my Mother in law.

I think I prefer the first one.

Here's Jen's sketch

The DT have been busy this week. You can check out their creations here.

We would love you to join in the fun this week.  You can link up your project on The Deconstructed Sketch blog HERE

Thanks for stopping by.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNIE

A couple of weeks ago my gorgeous eldest daughter turned 17. I just realised I didn't share her card!  Better late than never I guess.

Her favorite color is purple, and she's recently had her naturally bright red hair colored dark red, so I tried to make Anya from TGF look like her.  The card is way too underembellished for my liking, but she loved it, which is the main thing.

I also made her a purple ombre ruffle cake for her party. Once I figure out how to get photos from my phone onto here I will add it.

See you in a few hours for Deconstructed Sketch #101.

THE DECONSTRUCTED CELEBRATION CONTINUES

Welcome back to the second week of the Deconstructed sketch number 100 celebration.

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my card from last week. I really do appreciate every single one of them.

I have another card for you using the same sketch as last week.

I used an older Taylored Expressions stamp that i had never got around to inking up. The sentiment is from the same set.

Just in case you missed the fab sketch last week, here it is again.

All of the Dt have joined in again this week, so that's double the inspiration.

We would love you to join in the fun with us.
You still have one week left to comment on last weeks blog hop to be in the running for the Tiddly Inks gift certificate.

You also still have one week left to link up your creation using sketch 100 to be in the running for the Taylored Expressions gift certificate too.

Thanks for helping us to celebrate and good luck!

DS# 99

Hi there. I can feel the excitement mounting as it's only one more week until we celebrate sketch number 100 at The Deconstructed Sketch.

But today I have DS99 to share with you. I absolutely love Jen's sketch this week, but i couldn't help myself and made it into a square card.

I'm loving this new style of girl from MFT, and I paired her with this gorgeous new Simple Stories paper.

I flipped the sketch left to right so that she is looking inwards.

Make sure you check out the rest of the DT.....

And then head on over to http://deconstructingjen.com  to link up your entry.

You won't want to miss next week's sketch. Jen has a few surprises for you too, so stay tuned.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

DS 98 - a little late

Well, my hectic week continued and finally it's the weekend, and some spare time to do my Deconstructed Sketch card for this week.

The little girl is a sweet little Saturated canary rubber stamp that I colored a couple of weeks ago. I usually choose my paper first and then color the image to match, but didn't for some reason this time. I think I was just excited to be coloring a Saturated Canary rubber stamp/image.

After searching through my stash I eventually settled on scraps of Doodlebug and Bella Blvd papers that were already lying on my desk. I used my favorite MFT bow die, and some very old scalloped velvet ribbon.

Here's Jen's sketch again.

I hope you have time to join in this week, and my apologies again for being a little late with my card.

Thanks for stopping by.
